Pastoral Welcome Evenings

Pastoral Welcome Evenings are an important opportunity for our school to build strong, positive relationships with parents and carers at the start of the academic year. They provide a chance for families to meet key pastoral staff, understand the school’s expectations, and hear about the support systems in place to ensure thier child is happy, safe, and successful. These evenings allow parents and carers to ask questions, share any concerns, and gain reassurance about how thier child will be cared for and guided through their school journey. By establishing clear lines of communication early on, Pastoral Welcome Evenings help to foster a sense of trust, partnership, and shared responsibility between home and school, ensuring that students are supported not only academically but also in their personal development and wellbeing.

Please find on this page a copy of the presentations that were shared with Parent/Carers during each Pastoral Welcome Evening.

The Year 9 Options Process is an important stage in your child’s education. It’s the time when they have the opportunity to choose some of the subjects they will study for the next two years.
We understand that this can be both exciting and a little overwhelming, as there are often many questions from both students and parent/carers.

Visit our Options Process webpage here for full details, guidance, and support to help you and your child make informed choices.
