Dress Code

Dress Code

At St Augustine’s Sixth Form, our students are ambassadors for our community and role models for younger pupils. We therefore expect all students to present themselves in a way that reflects the professionalism, maturity and high standards of Sixth Form life.

Our dress code is designed to mirror expectations within professional and workplace environments, while still allowing students to feel comfortable and confident.

Students are expected to dress in a smart, clean and professional manner at all times whilst on the school site.

Expectations

To support a positive and professional Sixth Form environment, students should ensure that:

  • appearance is neat and presentable throughout the school day
  • outdoor clothing is removed during lessons and inside school buildings

  • smart skirts or dresses of an appropriate length
  • smart tops, shirts, blouses or jumpers

Preparing Students for the Future

Our Sixth Form dress expectations help students develop the confidence, professionalism and personal standards expected in higher education and the workplace, while contributing to a positive and respectful learning environment for all.

Students are reminded of these expectations regularly through Year Team meetings and Sixth Form guidance to ensure high standards are maintained throughout Years 12 and 13.
