How Do I Apply

Applying to St Augustine’s Sixth Form

We are delighted you have shown interest in applying to attend St Augustine’s Sixth Form. Please follow the steps and guidance below and we look forward to welcoming you and answering any questions you may have.

  1. Please attend the Year 11 Open Evening in late October/early November (please watch out on the website for updates on the date.)
  2. After the Open Evening, the admission form will be available on our school website. Please complete this to the best of your ability, providing as much detail as you can.
  3. Two application forms are available – Internal and External. Please fill in the relevant form and do provide references if you are an external student. Your current school will be able to advise on this.
  4.  Please check the Subject Entry Requirements for Sixth Form
  5. The deadline for all applications will be the last day of February half term each year.
  6. All internal students will receive a letter from the Sixth Form with a conditional offer. You may also be invited to attend a brief interview with a member of SLT. This is nothing to worry about! It just allows us to get to know you better, including whether your chosen subjects are going to allow you to access the courses you wish to apply for in the future, should you wish to go onto university.
  7. All external students will be invited for an interview and, if the interview is successful, you will receive a conditional offer, along with an opportunity to ask any further questions
  8. Students will need to be meet all entry requirements to enrol into Sixth Form (these include grades, the required grades for your chosen subjects, attendance/punctuality expectations and behavioural record.)
  9. Student will attend on Results Day in August to enrol and confirm their course choices.

Students who attend our Sixth Form gain outstanding results. We also offer outstanding pastoral care, specific subject interventions, multiple leadership opportunities and bespoke academic mentoring. There are also a wide range of university courses, Open Days and Year 12 Work Related learning, as well as personalised careers advice for each student. We constantly update our Opportunities page for our Sixth Form students, and we pride ourselves on being a close knit, supportive and welcoming community.
