PARENT GOVERNOR VACANCIES - ST. AUGUSTINE’S CE HIGH SCHOOL
Would you – or someone you know – like to be a parent governor?
Our School Governing Body has vacancies for one parent governor and we are writing to ask whether you would like to send in a nomination – for yourself or another parent. A nomination form is attached with this letter. Additional copies are available from the school office.
If you are interested in standing please fill in the form, including the signature of 2 proposers, who must be parents of a pupil at St Augustine’s High School.
Almost all parents are entitled to stand and vote, but there are some restrictions. Please read the attached information about eligibility. If you are still unsure please contact me.
If there are more nominations than places there will be an election and every eligible parent will be able to vote. The election will be by ballot. We will send you more information about this later.
Before deciding whether to stand you may like to find out more about what is involved in being a governor. Fr Amos, the Chair of Governors would be very pleased to talk to anyone about the work of the governing body at our school. He can be contacted by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Information is also available on the Westminster website for school governors http://webfronter.com/westminster/governors
We do hope that you will consider becoming a parent governor. If you would like more information please contact Susan Jacobs, Clerk to the Governors email: email@example.com
