Here in the music department at St Augustines’s Church of England High School we look forward to welcoming all of the new year 7’s and hope that you are ready to sing and play lots of new musical instruments.

Not only can you learn and enjoy music in the classroom with your tutor group but there are also many opportunities to play other instruments such as guitar, drum kit, saxophone, piano etc there are also a number of lunchtime and after school clubs like steel pan band, African drumming workshop, guitar ensemble and school orchestra.

In the music department we have many visiting music teachers that love to get involved with trips, concerts and performances both in morning assembly and church. Last year 150 students took part in the Christmas concert and we currently have 120 students learning either singing or a musical instrument.
