On Monday, February 3rd, St Augustine’s CE High School has hosted an event for the launch of the 3v3 Jr NBA event in London. The event is a competition that involves students playing the new 3v3 competition format against other schools across London. The launch event was attended by GB basketball athletes, representatives from the NBA, London Marathon Events and BBC and ITV.
As part of the launch event, our students had the opportunity to receive a coaching workshop and a meet and greet from the GB athletes and then take part in 3v3 games. The aim of the event is celebrating the launch of the 3v3 tournament but also to inspire more students to take part in basketball at school.
The children participating were delighted with the activities, with a lot of them considering joining the school team.
