Uniform

St Augustine’s uniform is compulsory and we remain strict about this. Students who come to school without full uniform will be sent home.

  • Plain black footwear, black soles and black laces.
  • Black formal trousers, not tight fitting (no leggings). Black skirt modest length.
  • White shirt buttoned up to the collar and tucked into the trousers or skirt.
  • Plain Navy blue V-neck jumper or V-neck cardigan (no logos or round neck sweatshirts).
  • A school tie (there are different ties for KS3 and 4 and are available to purchase from school).
  • A black blazer with the school badge (the badges are available for purchase from school).
  • Headscarves should be plain black, white or navy blue.
  • Hair must be tied back for certain Science lessons and all PE lessons.
  • Lanyard and School ID Card must be worn every day.

Please Note: jeans, jean style trousers and cords are not acceptable. Footwear should be sensible and no open toe/sandle footwear is permitted.

St Augustine’s PE Kit

Students are required to wear St Augustine’s PE kit in all PE lessons. The compulsory kit consists of a school branded PE t shirt, school branded PE shorts/tracksuit bottoms/leggings and navy blue socks. Additional optional items that can be purchased are tailored school branded tracksuit bottoms and full zip tracksuit top. All can be purchased directly to your home through our suppliers website – MaPac Website.

Jewellery, Cosmetic Aesthetics, Badges & Adornments

Only a watch and earrings are permitted. Students wearing earrings must only have one small pair of plain gold or silver studs and worn only in the ear lobes.

A plain nose stud is permitted. All jewellery must be removed for PE lessons.

Only badges, logos, motifs or symbols that have been provided, or awarded, by the school can be worn.

Haircuts should be appropriate for a school environment.

Make-up, false eyelashes, false nails (natural nails should be kept at an appropriate length for health and safety compliance), nail polish, hooded tops, caps and bandanas are not allowed in school.

Year 7 Pastoral Welcome Evening:

We extend a warm welcome to all Year 7  students and parents / carers.

The evening provides a valuable opportunity to meet the Year 7 pastoral leaders and begin building strong relationships that support your child’s transition into secondary school. It’s also a chance to receive important pastoral information that will help you understand how your child will be supported throughout the year, both academically and pastorally.
