How Do I Apply

Applying to St Augustine’s Sixth Form

We are delighted that you are interested in applying to St Augustine’s Sixth Form. Please follow the steps below carefully. We look forward to welcoming you and supporting you through the application process.

Open Evening

All prospective students should attend our Year 11 Sixth Form Open Evening, which takes place in late October or early November. Please check the school website for confirmed dates and updates.

Application Process

After the Open Evening, the application form will be available on the school website. Please complete this carefully and provide as much detail as possible to support your application.

There are two application forms:

Please ensure you complete the correct form. External applicants may be required to provide a reference from their current school. Your school will be able to advise you on this process.

Subject Choices

Before applying, please carefully review the Sixth Form Subject Offer: Subject Offer 2026-2027

It is important that students consider GCSE predicted grades, subject entry requirements, and future career or study pathways when making their choices.

Application Deadline

The deadline for all applications is the last day before February half term each year. Late applications may be considered, but cannot be guaranteed.

Entry Requirements

Students must meet all Sixth Form entry requirements in order to enrol.

These include:

  • Minimum academic requirement of grades 9–5 at GCSE (with some subjects requiring higher grades)
  • Meeting specific subject entry requirements
  • Good attendance and punctuality record
  • Positive behaviour and attitude to learning

Interviews and Offers

All internal applicants will receive a conditional offer letter. Some students may also be invited to a short interview or meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team. This is a supportive conversation designed to ensure subject choices are appropriate and aligned with future goals.

All external applicants will be invited to attend an interview. Following a successful interview, students will receive a conditional offer and will have the opportunity to ask any further questions about Sixth Form life and courses.

Enrolment

Final course confirmation takes place on GCSE Results Day in August, when students enrol and confirm their subject choices.
