Face Coverings/Masks

Dear Parents/Carers,
Happy New year and I hope that you and your families are well.

On Sunday, the government released new guidance which requires that students wear lessons in corridors and communal areas in addition to in the classroom. The new rule comes after the rapid spread of the Omicron variant in London and the rest of the country. Wearing masks during lessons will help prevent the spread of the virus within our school community.

BBC’s Children in Need Appeal Day - Non Uniform Day

Dear Parents/Carers,
This Friday, 19th November, is BBC’s Children in Need Appeal Day. Children in Need is a charity that supports disadvantaged young people in their fight to overcome poverty, disability, illness, distress and/or trauma. They also work with other charities and organisations to combat some of the major issues facing children and young people in the UK, including: mental health and wellbeing, violence impacting young people, child sexual exploitation, holiday hunger, access to employment and social justice.

All students and staff are invited to give the items listed on the ‘countdown’ days from the 15th November until the 10th December. All your donations will be boxed up and given to the Local Food Bank for them to distribute to local families in need.

Year 7 Parents' Welcome Evening

We would like to invite all Year 7 parents to meet the team 'virtually' on Thursday 4th November at 6pm. Tickets are available (free of charge) on Eventbrite.

This is an opportunity to not only welcome you into our fantastic school community, but there will be short talks from Headteacher Mr Moriarty, Director of Learning Mr Russell, Assistant Headteacher Miss Carney and our wonderful team of tutors. It is also an opportunity to celebrate our Year 7 successes so far, explain all of the wonderful activities on offer and how Year 7 really is the foundation for their future success.

Important Information for Year 7 Entry (September 2022)

Thank you for applying to St Augustine’s CE High School for your child. In addition to your Supplementary Information Form and Clergy Form (submitted directly to St Augustine’s CE High School and naming St Augustine’s as one of your preferences on your Local Authority’s eAdmissions application), another vital part of the application process is for your child/ren to sit a Banding Test on Saturday 27th November at 09.00am. This is a Non-Verbal Reasoning Test and is not a pass or fail test – it is used for administration purposes to ensure we take an equal number of children from all levels of ability.
