The Wellbeing Committee launched St Augustine’s first student wellbeing week on January 31st. The team, led by Year 13 Directors Inas and Ahmed, presented a series of assemblies focusing on mental & physical wellbeing, top tips for supporting mental health, who to talk to & Laslow’s ‘hierarchy of needs’; promoting ‘self-love’ to ensure you are fulfilled & therefore able to support others.
As part of the week, students were encouraged to write messages of gratitude for their peers, teachers & the wider community which were added to our fantastic ‘Wall of Gratitude’. Form groups also swapped messages of kindness and delivered these to members of staff. Finally, there was a week-long focus through form time on promoting positivity, inclusion & respect.
