Dawn Butler MP for Brent Central

On Friday 19^th November, our school was delighted to welcome Dawn Butler MP, (The former Shadow Minister for Women & Equalities) to talk to our Year 10 and Sixth Form Government & Politics Students.

The visit started with a Q&A session and our students enjoyed hearing about her personal journey into politics and experiences.

Ms. Butler advised our students on how to become a politician and spoke about her role has the first ever elected African-Caribbean woman to become a Government Minister in the UK.

Ms. Butler finished the visit by reciting the words from the song ‘Something inside so strong’ which has become her personal anthem.
