Stop Motion Animation with Three Discovery

Westminster Enterprise Week – 16th to 20th November
Year 10 students on the vocational course -Workskills - joined a live session on how to create a 3D animation. Phone company Three delivered an interactive Stop Motion Session to help students create a story using props and scenery.

Students explored this type of animation, using the app Stop Motion Studio, and had the chance to practise while guided by a business volunteer. Stop Motion requires focus and precision to create a very own Wallace and Gromit style production, by taking a load of photos! It’s great fun and fantastic for exploring creativity.

Mr Ydri (Workskills teacher)
‘The workshop was very much enjoyed by my students who had the opportunity to be creative, learn to work to a dealine, using a free and user-friendly app, and develop a can-do attitude with the help of an expert in the field of animation. My students are so pleased with the outcome that they would it to be a regular activity in class, and why not, it is easy to organise’
