Parents, carers and students had the opportunity to discuss and learn about apprenticeship opportunities within the construction sector when attending our Academic Review Day on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December. We partnered with Construction Youth Trust who sent two representatives to highlight the range of job roles within the sector and how apprenticeship could equip young people, while learning and earning, with core skills and help them get into the labour market.
Feedback from Construction Youth Trust:
“Myself and my colleague Kaitlyn had a great time talking to parents, teachers and students about careers within Construction and the Build Environment and the various routes to these roles. In particular we had constructive conversations surrounding Higher & Degree Apprenticeships as an alternate route to a University Degree for careers such as Architecture and Engineering. As always, it’s a pleasure to work with St Augustine’s – the school has an excellent ethos and is always so welcoming!” Maxi La Faci – Construction Youth Trust
