Year 12 Students joined a team at ZSL London Zoo for a Work Experience Day. Following a morning session introducing the different careers across their organisation, which sparked lots of interesting questions and debate, students explored the zoo before returning for the afternoon’s task – designing an enclosure. Groups were given just over an hour to put together their plans before presenting them back for everyone to vote on a winner.
Holly Bestley, Senior Learning Officer of Careers & Youth, said, "We were really impressed by the depth of research groups did to understand their species, as well as the creativity of the designs produced. They all considered the needs of the three stakeholder groups (animals, keepers and the public) to produce some brilliant ideas, which they presented professionally. They should all be very proud!"
