Special Educational Needs Department (SEND)

Welcome to SEND

St Augustine’s CE high is an inclusive school, supporting all students to “Be the best they can be” including those with special educational needs and disabilities. By identifying and supporting students with special educational needs with a wide range of pastoral and academic provision we ensure students with special educational needs thrive at St Augustine’s.

The SEN department is a diverse and enthusiastic team with a range of dedicated professionals. In meeting the needs of students with SEND we work in partnership with a wide range of education, health and social care services.

Students are provided with individualised programmes of support which could include in class support, small group classes or individual support from a teacher or learning support assistant. Support programmes can also include support from a wide range of therapy services who work at St Augustine’s. Students can also access academic, pastoral and social support through our lunch and after school clubs.

Furthermore any additional support and information about services that children, young people and their families can access in the Westminster can be found at Westminster’s Local Offer link.
