Vacancies – Why Work for Us?

Working at St. Augustine’s can provide opportunities for personal and professional growth, the chance to make a positive impact in the community, and the potential for a fulfilling career.

There are various professional development opportunities, for all stages of career development, including an effective ITT and ECT professional studies programme, an Aspiring Leader’s programme, which is for any member of teaching or support staff, and externally recognised professional qualifications such as NPQs. We have a record of both internal and external promotion through the leadership development programme that we have provided at St Augustine’s.

We encourage regular feedback from all staff through surveys and our ‘Staff Pulse.’  We have a Headteacher’s Surgery every week which any member of staff can attend without an appointment, to share ideas outside of the normal line management process. We are also part of the Employees Assistance Programme which provides confidential advice and support from counselling to financial advice which is free of charge, anonymous and accessible to all staff members and their families.

We also offer financial assistance with Ride to Work schemes, Travel Card Loan Scheme, Free Eye Tests and a Staff Wellbeing programme.

We have positive relationships with various University providers to support any teaching placements and School Direct Applicants. We also have staff that were former students now working at the school.
